This little album is inspired by video's I saw on YouTube. I just love the vintage style and the fact that this little album looks as if I just found it on the attic of my grandma. I hope you like it too! Have fun watching the video.

Sometimes I get this cleanup rage and during the last rage I found an old glass bottlle. At first I wanted to throw away the bottle, but I changed my mind and decided to give the bottle a make-over. I painted the bottle with gesso and a white acrylic paint.  In my stash of napkins I found a napkin with these beautiful vintage roses. The shape of the bottle was a bit of a challenge to put the napkin on without a million wrinkles, but in the end it turned out pretty good.  The stopper and the bottom part of the bottle I painted with a very light shade of pink acrylic paint. On the neck of the bottle I put a piece of lace, some pearls and a handmade foamiran flower.  So and old bottle is turned into a beautiful handmade present.  Thank you for visiting my blog!

I just finished this vintage journal using the tabbinding method. It is my first attempt but I am definitely going to use this method more often. Thank you for watching the video. Have a very nice weekend! 

Wishing well. I made this wishing with popsicle sticks and I followed a tutorial from Emilia Sieradzan on Youtube to create it.  To make the well itself I used a piece of thick paper and covered it with the popsicle sticks. The roof is made entirely out of those sticks.  When the base is done and painted with acrylic paint, it is time to decorate. The flowers are made out of paper and I used moss and other decoration material. The final touch is a layer of white acrylic paint for a snow effect on the wishing well. On top of that I used snowpaint and some glitter. Emilia turned her wishing well into a money box. I decided to put a candle light into the well. I love the result! Thank you for visiting my blog. Bouquet handmade flowers Verschillende keren heb ik een tutorial gevolgd voor het maken van foamiran bloemen. De meeste daarvan heb ik gebruikt voor een kaartje, maar het leek me leuk om eens te proberen of ik er een boeketje van kon maken. Inmiddels heb ik er twee gemaakt. I love to watch tutorials of making foamiran flowers and most of my efforts ended up in a handmade card. But I also wanted to try to make a little bouquet of foamiran flowers and here are two of my results.  De mandjes/potjes zijn respectievelijk een dessert bekertje en een ijsbekertje. Het dessert bekertje is bewerkt met houten stokjes en het ijsbekertje met touw. In my stash I have lots of small wooden boxes and today I painted and designed one of those. For the decoration I used the same design paper as I used in my latest journal. The pattern and colors of that paper is really beautiful. The altered box makes a beautiful present to give.  I hope you like the end result as well and got a little bit inspired by it. With the beautiful designpaper of The Journal Boat I made this album, which is kind of a mini album and journal combined. I really like how the 'old' ephemera matches with the beautiful flower papers. Enjoy the video!

Een nieuw journal afgemaakt vandaag! De stijl is vintage, waarbij ik authentiek materiaal heb gebruikt maar ook nieuwe dingen 'oud' heb gemaakt. De bedoeling was om een journal te maken wat bij wijze van spreken zo van de zolder van je oma kon komen. Wat vinden jullie? Opzet geslaagd? Dank voor het bezoeken van mijn blog!

We zijn nog steeds aan het bijkomen van een hele drukke periode rondom de verhuizing van onze jongste dochter. Nog steeds heb ik niet 'mijn passie' voor het knutselen terug gevonden.  Maar afgelopen week ben ik mijn hobbyruimte weer eens ingedoken en heb een flessenlabel geknutseld.  Voor het label zelf heb ik wat steviger papier, licht karton gebruikt.  Daarop is een stukje designpapier gebruikt, afkomstig van een papierblok van de Action. Ook de mal 'thank you' komt van de Action. De bloem is gemaakt met bloemen foam, de bruine besjes heb ik ooit ergens gezien in een winkel en meegenomen.  En zo creëer je een uniek dank-je-wel, bijzonder leuk om een cadeautje extra speciaal te maken. De Action heeft vaak leuk en vooral niet te duur knutselmateriaal. Echt de moeite waard om er af en toe eens te gaan kijken. Dank je voor het bezoeken van mijn blog.  Een heel fijn weekend!! 

Het afgelopen jaar was een zwaar jaar voor ons als gezin. Niet alleen door de dreiging van corona en alle maatregelen hieromtrent, maar vanwege de zwaar beschadigde gezondheid van onze jongste dochter door de vaccinatie tegen corona. Na een lange revalidatie hebben we een urgentieverklaring kunnen bemachtigen voor een meer geschikte woning en begin dit jaar kreeg ze een superleuk appartementje toegewezen.   Doordat we momenteel heel druk bezig zijn met het opknappen van een appartementje voor onze dochter, is er van knutselen niet veel terecht gekomen. De ene helft van de week zijn we in onze woonplaats Eindhoven en de andere helft van de week in Noordwijk.  We krijgen bij het opknappen van het appartementje heel veel hulp, waar we ontzettend dankbaar voor zijn. Dit hadden we als gezin, wonende op een grote afstand nooit voor elkaar gekregen!  Het appartementje is helemaal ingericht zoals onze dochter het graag wil hebben en we hopen dat ze hiermee een nieuwe start k...

Hello everyone! For a long time I didnot post anything here on my blog. Last year was a very difficult year for us, for our daughter and our family. I wasnot able to craft, not only due to the circumstances but I totally lost interest in crafting what so ever. I had no inspiration at all. But hopefully this year will be a better one!  Although corona still is among us and causing a lot of problems, I wish you the very best for 2022, stay safe and stay healthy and do the things you like as much as possible. I started this year with crafting a mini album that flips open. Corona steekt opnieuw de kop op in Nederland en dit keer treft het ook mensen die mijn man en ik heel goed kennen. Om ze een hart onder de riem te steken nu ze zo ziek zijn, heb ik een kaartje voor ze gemaakt. Het is een van de weinige dingen die ik kan doen en ik hoop dat het een klein positief lichtpuntje voor hun mag zijn in deze moeilijke periode. Het is een z.g. trifold kaart, hij klapt open in drie delen en sluit met lint. Op de bovenste flap heb ik een bloementoef geplaatst. In het middelste gedeelte heb ik een tekstkader geplaatst voor een persoonlijke notitie.  Mijn hoop is dat we corona onder controle krijgen en dat we elkaar zullen helpen daar waar nodig is. Niet alleen diegenen die corona letterlijk aan den lijve hebben ondervonden, maar ook alle mensen die op andere manieren heel hard zijn getroffen. Wij mensen hebben elkaar gewoon nodig!

Deze maand is mijn oudste dochter 30 jaar geworden en speciaal voor deze gebeurtenis heb ik een journal gemaakt met het mooie design papier van Stamperia. Het thema van het papier en het journal is: Cosmos. This month my daughter turned 30 years old and for this occasion I made her a journal with the beautiful design paper of Stamperia.  The theme of the paper and the journal is: Cosmos. De kaft is gemaakt met de verpakking van ontbijtgranen. Naast het design papier van Stamperia heb ik wat pagina's uit een boek gehaald, getiteld: Achemie en Mystiek, en ik heb er koffie gekleurd papier, grafisch papier, muziekpapier en lijntjespapier in verwerkt.  Met zijn 5 katernen is het journal een heel boekwerk geworden.
